The secret to the success of an electronic surveillance system is to determine your objective and work from there.
Monitored surveillance
Monitored surveillance shows you what is happening in real-time and therefore allows personnel to respond as needed.
Unmonitored surveillance
Unmonitored surveillance shows you what previously happened and provides visual evidence of what took place. While these cameras are unmonitored, with certain systems many cameras can be viewed via a smart phone app or VPN.
Both options allow for many variables depending on your needs. For example, to:
Our cameras range from 4MP to 8MP (4k) with a variety of shapes and configurations, depending on the desired field of view and aesthetics. We also provide network video recorders with 4–32 channels and software to manage the various system components.
We work with each customer to determine the best equipment and systems to meet their individual needs.
Alarm systems can be your first line of defense against fire and/or unwanted intruders. The range of options available is wide, so SMITH Electronic Security experts work with all customers to determine what systems and options will work best for them. Whether it’s a residence or a large industrial space, SMITH has the system that will provide the security and safety you need.
Some of the options available:
Wireless monitoring is done through a cellular communicator eliminating the cost of a telephone line. These systems are highly secure and have battery backup for power outages, as do the alarm panels.
Hardwired systems are best for buildings that are under construction or to be built so that the wires can easily be incorporated.
Residential systems even can be designed so that they can move with the residents to the new home (certain restrictions do apply).
SMITH Electronic Security also designs, installs, and monitors fire alarms. All fire alarm systems are designed by a state-licensed, Level III fire prevention planner, with all designs then approved by the local fire marshal.
